MILK OR MEAT, toy’s or hot rods? do you want to stay with your toy cars or do you want a real hot rod?
My morning devotion hit on something that has been on my heart for a while. I use to go to church with a guy that said he could go door to door witnessing and if he only had one encounter with that person then he was fine with that. I have no issue with that at all but, I am a “See it through till the end”, kinda guy myself. My son, Tommy Dean Eldridge, is the same as my old church friend, he can give someone a hot dog and be good with that. These kind of guys (and girls) are a must for God.
The bible is clear on the fact there are NO prerequisites to coming to Jesus. In fact it says in Matthew 11:28 to come when you are burden. It says, “Come as you are” but, It does not say stay as you are, this is where MY heart is.
In 1 Corinthians 13:11 it says, When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. And, again in Hebrews 6:1 it says, Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity….. It is our responsibility to move forward as a mature christian and I wish to help those who want to be helped to do just that.
